Fixed points are attachment points in the roof for mounting roof racks. Some cars come with fixed points, often with flush fitting plastic covers with an arrow indicating which way to slide the cover off.
Fixed points can be created by drilling into the roof of your vehicle either DYI or at a custom install shop.
