MEET 'N GREET
Austin (or Bubba to some) was born and raised in San Diego, California where he currently resides.He started out riding BMX when he was 3. “My brother is 2 time national champion in downhill, so that kinda made me want to do what he did. So turned out I learned a lot from him. Pushing your limit and trusting yourself made me realize you can do whatever you want.” He’s considers himself lucky to mountain bike for a living; riding for many of the brands he loves. Riding is his outlet and doesn’t ever feel like a job. He loves to give back where he can by building and maintaining local trails to help keep the community safe and stoked.
Bubba races downhill, dual-slalom, pumptrack, and enduro. Outside of shredding, he likes to fish, ride motorcycles, surf, build trails, and hang out with friends.
Most Memorable / Meaningful Place I’ve Visited
I really love Yosemite, pretty basic. Mammoth has also been a very special place for me, though. So I can’t forget that.

What would your TED talk be about?
Honestly talking about how to build the coolest and most amazing trail and ideas. Kinda lame but really love building new places to ride.
What would you be doing in an alternate life or timeline?
I really would like to be a pilot of some sort. Love helicopters and the feeling of flight.
What's your guilty pleasure/indulgence?
Continuously eating burritos haha. I need to stop but man you can’t beat it. Especially in San Diego!
How do you like giving back? What's the cause you're passionate about or favorite non-profit/organization?
Giving back is something I love to do. The local trails next to me and around me I tend to always fix them and put a lot of effort to make my community ride more and love it.
